Nomuri means No Walls/open minded in Italian and wants to communicate a sense of freedom, but also our passion for Japan and minimal design.
Nomuri is a store with a soul. Starting as All Sport in 1977, our shop was a no brainer at that time, one of the first store in Europe to sell NBA, NFL, MLB and made in USA sportswear and footwear.
Among our brands Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Russell Athletic, Champion and Converse stood out. Original products and catalogues are still preserved in our wide archive open to people who share our passion.
We were there, witnessing the pop colture classic Stan Smith, the beginning of the Jordans in 1985, the revolution of the Air Max... the Holy Grail!
In the 80s we were already considering sportswear and technical performance wear as a lifestyle, everyday product. We have been evolving with urban culture through five different shops, designed with special layouts and always located in Sanremo (Italy).
In 1999 we led the change from sportswear to streetwear opening the first Nomuri-branded store: limited edition sneakers, skate-inspired clothing, books, lifestyle and design objects.
Since 2010 we are located in Sanremo's oldest shop, a bookshop founded in 1855 (Italo Calvino's favorite), one minute walk from one of the most famous Italian theaters, the Ariston.
We have maintained the original structure of the library wich layout gives shoes and apparel an historical and social value.
We like to share our passion and our history linked to sneaker's universe during the expo, talks and events we collaborate with, such as Ginnika in Rome, Witness 1: 1 by Marco Craig in Milan and Genoa, but also collaborating with local artists and customizing shoes and clothing with our customers.
The next project is the Carpet Culture Club, an event with important guests who will talk about urban culture. It will take place during the Sanremo 2022 music festival, stay tuned!
